Make training (and yourself!) a priority!! Penciling your training sessions into your diary (or typing for those who aren’t old school like myself!) is a great way to ensure you get to those sessions! Write your sessions in and treat them like a specialist appointment. You wouldn’t cancel a specialist appointment, would you? No, you’d do everything you could to get there, and that’s exactly how you should think of your training sessions. After all, your health should be your number one priority!! If you are a parent I recommend talking to your partner about what days and times you plan on training. That way your partner is on board and can ensure you stick to your plan. If you have a trainer, send them your diary so they know your plan and can keep you accountable or text a friend to train with you! Having that extra support can make a huge difference!! At the start of next week I encourage you write in your diary exactly when you intend to train!
3 simple tips to help you smash your New Years resolutions!! If your new year goals include improving your health and fitness, or weight loss, then these 3 tips will help you get there! Make training a priority!! So often people place their training sessions at the bottom of their priority lists. Something else comes up, it’s raining, it’s too hot, are all things I hear from time to time from those that are not achieving their goals. I understand it’s not always easy to get to your sessions but you must make it a priority! I ask my clients to plan out what group sessions they’ll be attending that week, and stick to it! Think of it as a specialist appointment, you wouldn’t cancel that, and you shouldn’t prioritise other things above your health and happiness. It’s so important to look after yourself, you cannot pour from an empty cup! Plan ahead!! It sounds simple but it makes a huge difference!! At the start of each week plan out the meals and snacks (we recommend 3 main meals and two snacks each day) you’re going to consume that week. Write a grocery list and ensure you have everything you need so you can stick to your plan. If you’re not sure what you should be eating to achieve your goals, we can help with this!
